Lo-Har Gardens

Lo-Har Gardens is a private assisted living residence for individuals with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood in San Diego’s East County, Lo-Har Gardens has two separate residential-style homes on the same property.

The large, beautiful backyard with a walking path is accessible for all residents, and is totally secure. On the large patio are tables and chairs for special meals and monthly family events outside, or for just quietly sitting in the shade or the sunshine.

Our specially trained staff provides around the clock loving, personal care. Combining the extensive experience of our caregivers with our small number of residents allows for truly individualized care at Lo-Har. Our goal is to help the resident retain their sense of independence and well-being, in order to give them the best life possible. We understand the affects of Alzheimer’s disease, and continually train our staff to be sensitive to the resident’s changing needs.

All residents are encouraged to participate in a variety of therapeutic activities, including gardening, arts and crafts, music, a variety of games, exercise classes, and care of resident-pets.

Each month we have a Support Group meeting for our resident’s families, chaired by a geriatric psychiatrist. We believe our beautiful, secured grounds and home like setting sets us apart, but our kind, loving staff is what makes us second to none. Come visit and see for yourself.
